Riverside 2 is approximately 45 minutes from Port Elizabeth and 25 minutes away from the famous Addo Elephant National Park.The small town of Kirkwood is considered to be the citrus capital of the Eastern Cape and is also the centre of one of the largest citrus regions in South Africa. Allow the heady fragrance of the delicate orange/lemon blossoms to dazzle your senses during September. Harvesting normally takes place throughout the winter May to October. During fruit harvesting season tours can be taken through the orchards and tours can be arranged at the packhouses, where the fruit is washed, waxed, graded and packed for export.
