Description

A warm welcome awaits you at Riverside 2, situated on a working lemon farm in the heart of the malaria-free Sundays River Valley. Riverside 2 is approximately 45 minutes from Port Elizabeth and 25 minutes away from the famous Addo Elephant National Park.

The small town of Kirkwood is considered to be the citrus capital of the Eastern Cape and is also the centre of one of the largest citrus regions in South Africa. Allow the heady fragrance of the delicate orange/lemon blossoms to dazzle your senses during September.

Harvesting normally takes place throughout the winter May to October. During fruit harvesting season tours can be taken through the orchards and tours can be arranged at the packhouses, where the fruit is washed, waxed, graded and packed for export.

ACCOMMODATION

We offer spacious accommodation in our beautiful home, surrounded by lemon trees and a tranquil garden setting.

Directions

Take the R75 Graaff Reinet road, and turn right at the Kirkwood turnoff, carry on +-15km and at the t-junction you turn left and go past The Look Out Resturant and turn left a the first gravel road, carry on +- 2km and we are on the left hand side
