Set on a double stand in a beautiful, tranquil and leafy garden with sparkling pool, the Brown Jug caters to the B&B or self catering tourist. The Brown Jug offers the option of self catering or indulging in one of the Brown Jug’s famous English breakfast’s. Each unit has its own secure on site under cover parking with barbeque facility. All our units have fridges, tea and coffee facilities and sunny outdoor patio’s. Each unit has a private lounge with comfortable armchairs, panel heaters and hot water bottles for winter which will make up for any alternative weather you may experience while on your visit. Accommodation UNIT 1 Sleeps 2 - 4 (sleeps 2 privately)With fine attention to detail and comfort this cosy but spacious self catering or B&B unit and can accommodate two adults and one or two children very comfortably. Relax on the barbecue patio with a lovely mountain backdrop overlooking the Koi pond. Private bedroom with king size or twin beds, separate lounge with double sleeper couch available and full bathroom with separate toilet.

DirectionsFrom Cape Town: Follow the N2 over Sir Lowry’s Pass, past Elgin Apple orchards and Peregrine and Houwhoek Farm Stalls, over dual-carriage Houwhoek Pass at the bottom of which you take the left turnoff from the N2 to HERMANUS on the R43. Alternatively from Cape Town: Turnoff the N2 to Strand and meander along this beautiful stretch of Whale coastline on the R44 passing through Gordon’s Bay, Rooiels, Pringle Bay Betty’s Bay and Kleinmond until you reach the T-junction where you turn right to Hermanus on the R43. To The Brown Jug Guest House: Drive through Hermanus until you reach the 4 way stop in the main road at the Marine Hotel. Proceed 250m further to Stemmet street and turn left into Stemmet. Cross Mitchell Street and cross Luyt Street, take the next road to the left into Musson street, Brown Jug is located at No. 18 Musson Street. From The Garden Route: Drive on the N2 heading towards Cape Town, pass through RIVIERSONDEREND (river without end) and +-8kms further you get a turn off left to RIETPOEL / STANFORD / HERMANUS on the R326. Drive through wheatfields and sheep farms, get to a T-junction at Stanford and turn right to HERMANUS for 20kms. To Brown Jug: Drive through Hermanus until you reach Stemmet Street on the right. Turn right into Stemmet and 3rd right into Musson Street. Proceed for a block into Musson Street. The Brown Jug is on the left, house No. 18.
