Description

Large open plan lounge / dining / kitchen area. Kitchen is fully equipped with Defy stove, large fridge, microwave and dishwasher. 6 seater dining table and chairs. TV with SABC channels. DStv optional extra. Outside Braai area. House alarm. Lock-up garage.

There is a small shopping centre within easy and safe walking distance from the house. This includes a Kwikspar, launderette, bottle store and fast food outlet. Daytime activities are plentiful and varied. There are beautiful safe tidal pools to swim in in front of the house. Take a 5 minute drive to the miles of unspoilt sandy beaches.

Game Reserves a mere 15mins drive from the house; namely, the Seaview Lion Park and the Kragga Kamma Game Reserve.

For children there is the entertaining Homeleigh Farmyard and tractor rides plus restaurant.

Take a leisurely walk up to Barnacles Restaurant for a delicious meal or drive 7kms to Elephant Walk restaurant for a memorable night out.

Shamwari and Addo Elephant Park are 90mins away and can be visited for a days excursion.

Accommodation

The Self Catering Studio Apartment consists of: (sleeps 2 to 3)
1x double bedroom with en-suite bathroom. Television with DStv. Open plan kitchenette and dining area. Kitchen fully equipped with 2 plate stove and oven, microwave and fridge. Separate entrance from the garden.

Seaweed Cottage

Standing on its own in the garden with its own private entrance and its own garage is Seaweed self catering cottage.

It comprises a pleasant and airy, tiled, open plan living, dining and kitchen area and two en suite bedrooms with their own sea views.

The one bedroom has twin antique single beds and its bathroom a bath, separate shower, toilet and hand basin.

The main bedroom has a queen size bed and its bathroom a shower, toilet and hand basin.

There is also a sleeper couch in the lounge area.

The kitchen comes fully equipped with a 4 plate stove, oven, microwave, fridge, dishwasher and all the appurtenances.

There is also a built in braai (barbeque) facilities in the garden for the exclusive use of Seaweed's cottage guests.

But the greatest delight of this cottage is the shady (south facing) verandah which runs the length of the cottage.  It commands glorious, uninterrupted views of the sea and is the perfect place to read a book, watch for the whales and dolphins or just to relax and watch the changing moods of the ocean.

Seaweed Cottage also has TV (DSTV optional extra) as well as its own alarm system (for the peace of mind of visitors from places where alarms are de rigeur!

Linen and towels are provided but please bring your own beach towels.

Pebbles studio apartment

Pebbles is a fully equipped self catering apartment for one or two persons with its own private entrance.  It does not enjoy a direct sea view but is only a few short steps from both the garden and a large wooden deck, both of which command magnificent views out over the sea.

There is one bedroom with a queen size bed and an en suite bathroom.  This bathroom comes with a shower, a toilet and a hand basin.  Apart from the bathroom, the rest of the apartment is of open plan design but the bedroom can be curtained off for extra atmosphere.

Next to the bedroom is an open plan sitting room with a fully equipped kitchenette.  The kitchenette has a 2 plate stove and oven, a microwave, a fridge and all the other odds and ends you might need.

Pebbles also has TV with DSTV.

Linen and towels are provided but please bring your own beach towels.

There are indoor braai (BBQ) facilities available for our guests in the event of inclement weather.

Remember there are internet facilities available too, if required.

Oyster room

Oyster room is a compact apartment for between one and three persons with its own private entrance from the deck.

It has a large bedroom with a double bed and a full en suite bathroom with a bath, a shower, a toilet and a hand basin.  There is a sleeper couch in the sunroom for the extra person.

Oyster room has a sunroom overlooking the sea.  French sliding doors open from this room directly on to the spacious wooden deck on which guests can sit and watch the Indian Ocean, the sea birds, the whales (during their visiting season).  There are even otters who sport around the fresh water pools fed by the spring at the bottom of the garden.

Oyster room has limited self catering facilities in a small kitchenette equipped with a microwave, a fridge, a kettle and a toaster as well as cutlery and crockery etc.

Linen and towels are provided but please bring your own beach towels.
