Special discounts can be arranged for multi-night stays & groups of 4 or more visitors. Our cottages have either Two or three bedrooms and two bathrooms. Ideal for couples, families or small groups.

This stunningly beautiful bay in the heart of South Africa s Garden Route offers a range of leisure activities. Soak up the sun on pristine white beaches, or enjoy the under-water world snorkeling in the clear,
warm waters of the Indian Ocean.

During the spring time enjoy watching whales bathing in our waters - year round you can see dolphins playing in the surf.

The Oystercatcher Costal Hiking Trail is a fabulous eco-adventure. Rated as one of top 5 Hiking Trails in South Africa by the famous Getaway Magazine, the Trail gives you the opportunity to explore this marine rich coast and its unspoilt beaches.

Learn the habits of whales and dolphins. Enjoy the eco experience of this educational walkabout - highlighting the habits of the African Black Oystercatcher.

This coastal hiking trail starts in a Khoi San cave at the old fishing village of Mossel Bay and ends with a champagne farewell at our Sports Centre.

Accommodation

Our authentic Cape cottages and our unspoilt nature area cannot be fully appreciated in one night visits. We therefore offer special incentives for stays of 2 days or more on our packages page. Check our self catering daily rates, or spoil yourself with some exciting fully catered light activity packages on offer.

The thatched cottages are built in the traditional Old Cape Fishermen style complete with large ‘sit-inside’ fireplaces. Red clay tiled floors compliment the yellow wood and Oregon furniture. Each cottage is discreetly equipped with CD players, radio, DSTV, microwave ovens etc. The Cottages are also hosts to hikers on the world renowned Oystercatcher Trail. We have hosted many interesting and famous personalities. The BBC, National Geographic, 50/50 and other documentary producers have graced us with their presence and have exposed our secrets to nature lovers and fans of olde Cape style architecture and culture.

Apart from the on site activities mentioned below, to be enjoyed nearby is dune boarding, horse riding, beach fishing, snorkeling, kayaking, mountain biking, bird watching and a host of light adventure excursions.

Boggomsbaai is peaceful, safe and secure and away from the main tourist routes. There are no commercial activities and the nearest convenience store is situated 9 km's away, at Vleesbaai. In addition guests have exclusive use of our Sport and Wellness Centre, only a few meters from the cottages and fully licensed. There is also a 9-hole farm-style golf course on your doorstep

Directions

15km outside Mosselbaai, en-route to/from Cape Town on the N2, turn off at the signboard BOGGOMSBAAI/ VLEESBAAI / FRANSMANSHOEK and follow road 11km, turn Left at Sandpiper BB / Boggomsbaai sign and follow road 3km until you reach the village. First street to your left - Strelitzia - follow to T-juntion into Whale Street, turn right and then again second left to our Sandpiper Sport Spa and Reception.
