Directions

DIRECTIONS TO MOSSELBERG ON GROTTO BEACH N2, direction Somerset West. Stay on the N2, pass Somerset West EITHER Go up Sir Lowry's Pass, pass the turn offs to Elgin & Grabouw, and continue up the Houw Hoek Pass. On the top you will see a sign which says" Welcome to the Overberg As you descend the other side you will get to a very sharp hairpin bend corner and immediately after that you will begin to see the signs for the turn off to Hermanus - R43. You feed off to the left and cross the N2 on a flyover. ALTERNATELY: Turn off the N2 at the bottom of Sir Lowry's Pass (on the Cape Town side of the mountain, before you begin the climb) towards Gordon's Bay, and follow the scenic R44 around the coast past Rooiels, Pringle Bay, Betty's Bay (stop at Stoney Point and see the Penguins!) and Kleinmond. This road ends at a T-Junction with the R43. Turn right towards Hermanus. This route takes about 20minutes longer but is really beautiful. 24Kms later you arrive in the centre of Hermanus and will eventually get to a traffic light which will force you to turn left. 3.5Kms further you will reach a very big traffic circle. (roundabout) Go straight at the circle, direction Stanford, for another 2Km. Turn right in 13th Ave, till you reach a stop sign about 150m in the direction of the sea. Turn left in 10th Street and we are about 100m further on you right (sea side).
