Kingna Lodge, a 1898 Victorian Home, a haven for peace and tranquility and the personal choice of past Presidents and Nobel Prize Winners, Nelson Mandela and F W De Klerk.

Located in the Centre of Historical Old Montagu, Kingna Lodge offers 6 en-suite antique filled Victorian bedrooms, all individually decorated to enhance the 100 year old Victorian building. There are 2 are luxury suites, 2 executive and 2 superior rooms with private patio's and one facing the vast mountain range.
The property is exclusive, private and fully secured with a magnificent garden in park settings that allows for relaxation to the sounds of fountains and running water. A private enclosed swimming pool, historical furnished wine bar, Victorian library and covered veranda add to the grace and elegance associated with a Grand Victorian Villa built in 1898.

We serve a first class Continental and English Breakfast combined made with the best possible local Ingredients. We have a full liquor license for those magic sundowners on the "Stoep" or Pool Deck. The sparkling pool, secluded in an enclosed garden provides relaxation and coolness on hot summer days, while the deep wide verandah is the ideal spot for sundowners.

Personal service, attention to detail in every respect and a warm welcome are hallmark features of Kingna Lodge that caters specifically to adults in a setting detached from the high technology world of today.

Accommodation

On arrival you are welcomed into a cool antique filled hall, offered a glass or two of muscadel wine and then shown to your beautifully appointed room. All the rooms are individually decorated to enhance the 100 year old Victorian building and ambience.

There are 6 En-suite antique filled Victorian bedrooms of which 2 are Luxury suites, 2 Executive and 2 Superior Rooms with private patio's and one facing the vast Mountain range

ROOM 1: MOUNTAIN VIEW ROOM

This room offers magnificent mountain views that are absolutely breath taking. The spacious room has a lovely fireplace for those cold winter evenings, a double bed and an Ensuite bathroom with shower and bath.

ROOM 3: CHENIN BLANC SUITE

The spacious suite has a lovely fireplace for those cold winter evenings, 2 single beds with an en-suite shower and bath.

ROOM 4: MANDELA 1995

This room was graced by our former President Nelson Mandela on 28th April 1995 for the famous 21st Muscadel Wine Festival in Montagu. This bright Shiraz decorated room offers two single beds, a lovely patio and an en-suite bathroom with an old Victorian bath. Enjoy a complementary decanter of Muscadel.
