Huijs te Marquette guest house (small family hotel) offers true South African style, hospitality and ambience. Wheel Chair Friendly.

Each of the 12 bedrooms (6 classic and 6 luxury rooms) has its own en-suite bathroom, individual character and attraction.

The owners, Anton & Hester Bosman, offer you the opportunity to become life long friends. Music forms an integral part of their lifestyle and of the creation of atmosphere around the fireplace during winter, or at the fish barbeques.

They offer thorough information about the Garden Route, Western Cape and Cape Town and are prepared to do specialised day tours into the countryside.

At The Point, walking distance (300-500m) to beaches, CBD, St Blaize Lighthouse, St Blaize trail, harbour and most attractions in Mossel Bay.

Accommodation

They offer thorough information about the Garden Route, and Western Cape. Once you settle in - you won't want to leave! 

The elegant yet friendly interior succeeds in capturing the atmosphere of maritime Mossel Bay through the many pictures, maps and other artifacts on display.

Little expense has been spared in order to make your stay a memorable one. Twelve individually-decorated double rooms, each with en suite bathroom, offer comfort and leisure.

A full English breakfast is served and optional traditional dinners can be arranged.

Directions

N2 between Cape Town and Port Elizabeth - exactly halfway. Turn off onto Louis Fourie Road. Turn off to go down the main street (Marsh Street) and drive through the centre of town towards The Point. Huijs te Marquette is situated at the end of Marsh Street (No 1) on the left - just before the old stone school building (where the street makes a bend). From Oudtshoorn : Follow R328 past Hartenbos; past 2 sets of traffic lights - another 2 km and road goes up a steep hill - just before bridge cross-over turn left onto that road (Marsh Street = Main street) Go straight down through centre of town (±1.8km) towards The Point. At the end, at the bend and just before Milkwood Primary School on left is Huijs te Marquette - look for the long building with 6 arches in front (if you can see it between all the plants!). From George: First Mossel Bay turn-off (off N2), turn left. At traffic lights turn right (follow directional signs to Mossel Bay). Past another set of traffic lights - another 2 km and road goes up a steep hill - just before bridge cross-over turn left onto that road (Marsh Street = Main street) Go straight down through centre of town (±1.8km) towards The Point. At the end, at the bend and just before Milkwood Primary School on left is Huijs te Marquette - look for the long building with 6 arches in front (if you can see it between all the plants!). From Cape Town: N2 turns off to the left, if you go straight directional sign indicates Mossel Bay straight ahead - you carry on straight. Carry on past third set of traffic lights - another 500m and the signs shows The Point and CBD area to the left. At the traffic light turn right and down the main street (Marsh Street). Go straight down through centre of town (±1.8km) towards The Point. At the end, at the bend and just before Milkwood Primary School on left is Huijs te Marquette - look for the long building with 6 arches in front (if you can see it between all the plants!)
