Hoogekraal Country House offers exclusive guest house facilities and Bed & Breakfast accommodation in George on the Garden Route of South Africa. Panoramic views of the bay and the mountains. 1 km from the N2 highway, a few minutes from secluded beaches at Glentana, 7 minutes from the George national airport, a short drive to the famous Fancourt country club, and 15 minutes from the Outeniqua Choo-Choo steam train station and museum at George.

The historic double rooms en-suite, tastefully furnished with Cape antiques and heirlooms, are located in the original 1760 house, one of the oldest in the Southern Cape. In addition, two full suites are accommodated in the 1820 house. Each has a separate sitting room with a third bed, two bathrooms, a private patio and garden entry. A further full suite for a family also has a second bedroom in the attic, suitable for teenagers and is accessed by the original yellowwood staircase.

Directions

Travelling on the N2 from George (or Port Elizabeth) in the direction of Mossel Bay, take exit 419 Glentana, (the next exit after the George National Airport exit on the N2). Travel only 1 km towards the sea to the large Hoogekraal signboard. Turn left, then half km to the Manor house and Reception at the flagpole.
