Our only permanent residents are Oliver and Olivia, who are Cape Spotted Eagle Owls. Step out of your luxury Riverside room where you can enjoy freshwater fishing on your doorstep. Nearby there are World class golf courses, also squash, bowls and paragliding. Opportunities also exist for seasonal land based whale watching. The Hotel is ideally situated to explore the whole area. Go deep-sea fishing, head for the hills or catch the historic Outeniqua Choo Tjoe to Knysna past the unique Freshwater Lake System in South Africa. A launch trip to the Knysna Heads will add to the day’s excitement, not forgetting to sample the famous Knysna Oysters. There is also the Brewery, which offers tours and tastings. Then take on the world famous Cango Caves and the Ostrich and Crocodile Farms of Oudtshoorn, only an hour’s drive over the historic Outeniqua Pass which is one of the 4 passes route over the Outeniqua mountain.
