Description

We will gladly be your hosts at Blommenhuis.

Our daughter, Adele and son-in-law Werner, together with our son Heinrich-Werner are the proud owners of Jessica's Restaurant in Montagu.
They had their second successful year and we are looking forward to the next season.
Heinrich-Werner is the chef, Adele manage the restaurant and husband Werner is the wine master. Jessica's is a true gem where some the Montagu Art Association's work is on permanent exhibition.
Our youngest son, Jaco, is currently working as a marketer and will handle wine tours on the Route 62 Wine bus from September 2009

Originally from the North West, we fell in love with the mountains and became proud residents of this historical village in the fairest Cape.

The house is filled with Irene's paintings. Personal touches throughout the house and mural paintings outside, provide a delightful atmosphere.

Home to a "working" artist. More about this on our "News and Information" Page.
TUCKED AWAY at the end of a private lane, in the historic part of Montagu, you will find Blommenhuis B&B, where guests enjoy full privacy, true South African hospitality and tranquility.

Maak u tuis by Blommenhuis Gastehuis, waar u ware Suid Afrikaanse gasvryheid kan geniet.

Montagu, situated at the head of the Klein Karoo on Route 62, Western Cape, South Africa, is only a scenic two hours drive from Cape Town. It takes you through breathtakingly beautiful winelands and countryside.

With its peaceful garden and mature trees, Blommenhuis invites you to be spoiled and cared for.
Relax on our wooden deck at the pool and enjoy magnificent views of the Langeberg mountains.
This garden is designed with one thing in mind - enchantment - our beautiful roses (from which one of them is an award winning rose) and lots of shady corners, provide just that!
We are a few paces from the famous Bird Tree, within easy walking distance to restaurants and shops.

Crisp white linen awaits you in the three en-suite bedrooms. There are heaters in all the rooms for winter evenings, and of course ceiling fans for people visiting us during our Klein Karoo summers.

"During summer months we prefer to serve breakfast outside, the mornings are clear with blue skies, the garden inviting - a wonderful way to start your day.

We believe that food must also be an experience, so indulge yourself with fresh fruit and juice, muesli, yogurt, apple danishes or croissants, cream cheese, fresh produce, eggs and bacon with toast and 100% pure ground coffee.
PS> Not to forget our famous omelets, filled with herbs from our garden!

We serve candlelight dinners on arrangement and cater for diabetics and guests with special dietary needs.

"I would like to offer my guests that which I would wish to find while travelling - clean, crisp linen, good food and warmth in our friendly home."

Welcome to Blommenhuis!

*Shuttleservice available from and to Airport.

Directions

Blommenhuis is located just four houses away from the famous Bird Tree, on the opposite side of the road. It's at the end of a quiet cul-de-sac. Coming from Cape Town via Robertson and Ashton, you'd turn left into Barry St. and then the first left into Bath St.
