Welcome to Bantry House, your Irish home away from home in the heart of South Africa s Garden Route where you arrive as a guest & leave as part of our worldwide extended family. Situated high on the ridge above the town & harbour of Mossel Bay, Bantry House enjoys one of the best views to be had anywhere in the world. As well as views we offer you, our guest true Irish hospitality in our 4 Star Superior (graded by the Tourism Grading Council of South Africa & Quality Assured Superior status by the AA ) luxury guesthouse. All rooms are sea facing & have the most wonderful views across the bay to the Outiniqua mountains. Watch Dolphins, whales(in season) & seals play & frolic in the warm water of the Indian Ocean as you relax on the pool deck. Close to the best swimming beach (and the only true north facing beach) in the Southern Cape (summer water temp is about 23 deg & is very pleasant).We have 4 luxury en-suite rooms - all doubles. All rooms have full airconditioning & heating,well stocked bar-fridge(selection of cool drinks, local wines, beer & mineral water available to purchase), direct dial telephones,tea & coffee making facilities & dedicated modem points. All are tastefully furnished & open directly on to the pool deck.Another luxury touch is that pool is heated all year round & pool towels are supplied. A full luxuryIrish/South African style breakfast is served. Braai(bar-b-que) facilities on pool deck are available for guest use - wood supplied & braai packs are available to purchase. Paper plates & cutlery provided. Lunches & Dinners available at local restaurants - all within 5 mins drive of Bantry House. Bookings made at local recommended restaurants. Because we really care about the health of our guests & our staff, the whole of Bantry House,including the pool - deck, stoeps, bedrooms etc. is strictly non - smoking. We do not accept children under the age of 14. (Children 14 & over sharing parents bedroom charged at 50% of the single adult rate. If occupying a separate room the full rate will be charged.)Well behaved pets ( dogs etc ) are welcome by prior arrangement with the owner.Food. bedding etc can be provided & a pet- sitting service is also offered at a very reasonable rate. We offer an onward booking service & are very happy to help with itinerary planning, day trip planning etc. Visa & Mastercard accepted.

From Marsh St ( main street) Mossel Bay, turn right at main robot ( traffic lights)into Church St. Then take 1st turn left into Montagu St; then 1st right into Bayview St.At top (steep hill) is a T junction. Turn L & Bantry House is the second house (sea - facing) on the L.
