Situated 11km outside Knysna, along the Garden Route, it’s close enough to town and far away enough to be a perfect retreat.

Escape for a weekend, disappear for your honeymoon or romantic getaway and treat yourself to the tranquility and sheer pleasure that these three self-catering cabins offer.    King’s Gift is a magnificent, cozy 6-sleeper cabin with a private swimming pool and great views.  Lulama is a hidden gem and is the perfect getaway place to clear your head, and relax completely. This spacious cabin sleeps up to 8 people. Cabin No. 16 can sleep up to 8 people, and boasts rooms with views from all angles and a splash pool. Nature combined with modern living.

The Knysna forest has inspired authors and artists, and is in part a nature reserve. The nearby estuarine wetland and eco reserve is home to over 150 bird species and a variety of small game. The 120-year-old mining town (now a ghost town) of Millwood is within short driving distance in the direction of Rheenendal.

The kitchens are fully equipped, and DSTV is included. Should you prefer to go out at night, nearby Knysna has many world-class restaurants, a bustling waterfront and exciting nightlife.

Situated in the heart of South Africa's beautiful Garden Route, nestled in the hills of the Phantom Pass just outside the picturesque town of Knysna, the self-catering cabin offers holidaymakers and tourists an unequalled getaway experience.

The King's Gift cabin is privately situated overlooking the forested Knysna River valley. This secluded getaway is ideal for those who want to enjoy nature, whilst not sacrificing the luxuries that will make for a truly unforgettable holiday experience. Double undercover parking is provided as well as an outdoor barbecue area and swimming pool.

The main bedroom has an en-suite bathroom and private entrance from the back deck. The "lavender room" awaits with crisp, fragrant linen and freshly laundered towels. The west wing bedroom also has a private entrance and en suite bathroom, and the two single beds can be joined if necessary. The extra little details you find at Phantom River View is testimony to the love and care that went in to providing guests with an especially memorable holiday. Each bedroom faces onto spectacular views overlooking the valley.

The loft is situated above the lounge. Two single beds in the loft provide additional sleeping space. It can be separated from the lounge area, and also doubles as a reading room.

Rates

Rates are charged per cabin.

Low Season: (May to August) from R1050.00 to R1700.00 per night per cabin
Mid Season: (Jan to Apr, Sep to Nov) from R1150.00 to R1850.00 per night per cabin
Peak Season: (10 December to 10 January) R2280.00 to R2400.00 per cabin Rates are subject to change without prior notice.

Directions

From the N2, Take the Rheenendal turnoff to the left about 9 kms before Knysna. Five kms on, you will see a small sign reading Knysna over Phantom Pass , pointing right. The sign is directly opposite the turnoff. About 950m further (gravel road) you will see a stone gate and a sign reading Phantom River View Estate to the right.
