The rooms are all large (double volume) and spacious, have tea and coffee making facilities, TV and safes for the storage of your valuables. Three of the rooms provide ideal family accommodation as they have double bunks for children. All rooms have private entrances leading onto the patio and garden ensuring your privacy. DirectionsDirections from the Garden Route Traveling westwards take the N2 to Riviersonderend. After Riviersonderend continues along the N2 until you reach the turn off for the R326 to Stanford. Take this turnoff and travel south westward to Stanford. When you reach Stanford take the R43 to Hermanus – you will have passed the Birkenhead Brewery on the right hand side of the road just before the crossroads where you will turn right towards Hermanus. Keep on the R43, and drive right into Hermanus. Pass over a large traffic circle, then past signs for Fernkloof Nature Reserve, a Spar and a red and white pylon all on the right hand side of Main road. Approximately. 1 km past the Spar, and 200 meters before the 4 way stop street, on the right is no 197, Main Road, Whale Route Inn, appropriately signposted and with flags etc. You can’t miss it!! If you get to the 4 way stop with the Marine Hotel on your left you have gone 200 meters too far and need to go back. Directions from the Cape Town Take the N2 from Cape Town, passing Cape Town International Airport, Somerset West, Sir Lowry’s Pass and continuing on until the turning for the R43 and Hermanus is reached. Continue along the R43 for just over 27kms to the Hemel en Aarde craft village on the left hand side of the road, passing the turnings for Fisherhaven, Hawston, Vermont and Onrus on the way to Hermanus. Continue past the Hemel en Aarde Craft Village (white buildings with green roofs on the left hand side of the road) and through the traffic robots/lights at the end of the craft village. Approximately 1 km further on, look out for the Gateway Spar Centre on the right hand side of the road. (You will see Spar flags on flag poles) and the 24 hour Total Garage at the next set of traffic lights. You are now entering the village of Hermanus proper. Continue along Main Road ,past the shops and restaurants etc.until you come to a 4 way stop street. The Marine Hotel is diagonally across the road on your right. Approximately 300 meters past the Marine Hotel on the left is no 197 Main Road, Whale Route Inn, appropriately marked and with flags and a yellow wall. You cannot miss it. |
